# What do I do if the login link has expired?


When you log in to Right Person to get started with your background check, you will receive a login link by email.  
For security reasons, this link is only valid for a short period of time.

If you click on the link after it has expired, you will see a message saying that the link is no longer valid.

## How do I get a new link?

Click the **Send a new link** button on the page that appears.  
You will then receive a new login email.  
Open the email and click the **Log in** button to gain access.  

Everything happens automatically and only takes a few seconds.

## Tips

* Check your junk/spam folder if you cannot find the email  
* Open the link as soon as you receive it, since it is only valid for a short period of time  
* You can always request a new link if it expires again
