Articles on: Complete your check

How do I log in?

As a candidate, you can log in in two ways — either via a personal link sent by email or manually using your email address.

You can also set a password and enable two-factor authentication (2FA) for extra security.

First-time login

If you’ve been asked to complete a background check, you’ll receive an email from Right Person with a personal login link.

Here’s how to log in:

  1. Open the email from Right Person
  2. Click the yellow "Get started" button
  3. You’ll be taken directly to the Right Person-portal
  4. From there, you can access your profile and begin the background check

📌 The email contains a secure link — do not share it with others.

Logging in later

If you’ve used the portal before, or if you can’t find your invitation:

  1. Go to rightperson.com and click "Log in"
  2. Select "Log in with email link"
  3. Enter the same email address you used the first time
  4. You’ll receive a new login link by email — click it to access your account

📌 If you don’t see the email, remember to check your spam or junk folder.

After your first login, you can create a personal password for faster access in the future.

Here’s how:

  1. Go to Menu → Settings → Password and Security
  2. Under "Update your password", enter and confirm your new password
  3. Click "Update password"

Enable two-factor authentication (2FA)

2FA adds an extra layer of security.

When enabled, you’ll be asked to enter a one-time code sent via SMS in addition to your password.

To activate or deactivate 2FA:

  1. Go to Settings → Password and Security
  2. Scroll down to the Two-factor authentication section
  3. Use the switch to enable or disable "SMS message"
  4. You’ll now receive a code by SMS each time you log in

You can change this at any time under the same settings menu.

I can't log in

Try the following:

  • Check your spam/junk folder for the login email
  • Make sure your email address is entered correctly
  • Wait a few minutes and try again
  • Or create a password and use that next time
